About LDS Consultancy
LDS Consultancy is an independent UK firm founded in 2024 by Craig Lewis, Garry Dempster and Jason Sander.
We advise CIOs, CTOs and boards on the parts of the digital and energy estate that quietly decide whether the business runs well or not: cyber security and zero trust, AI in software delivery, and the operational and energy cost of running modern infrastructure.
We are operators, not slide makers
Between us we have built, broken and rebuilt the systems we now advise on. That is not a tagline. It is what the work looks like. We will tell you when a vendor is selling you a problem rather than a solution. We will say no to engagements where the deliverable is a slide deck and a goodbye. And we will pick up the work where the strategy stops, because the only way to know if advice is right is to ship it and watch what happens.
What we work on
- Cyber security and zero trust. Cyber Essentials Plus certified. We work on the parts of the problem that survive a board level conversation: identity, segmentation, third party risk, the security debt that builds up in legacy estates.
- AI in software delivery. We use AI coding agents and the modern toolchain in our own work every day. We help clients adopt them in a way that improves quality and lead time without losing the things that make their engineering culture work.
- Energy optimisation. From the LDS Test Bed we run real experiments on energy use in operating environments. We turn those into advice for clients with meaningful energy bills and decarbonisation commitments.
- Risk and governance. The connective tissue across all three. The work we do here keeps the board calm and the auditor happy without slowing the organisation down.
The LDS Test Bed
We run a working environment where we test energy technologies, security tooling and AI workflows on real systems with real load. It is a permanent commitment to keeping our advice honest. When we recommend something to a client, we have either run it ourselves or we tell you we have not.
Who we work with
CIOs and CTOs at organisations where the technology estate is large enough to matter and complex enough that a single product pitch will not solve it. We are particularly useful to organisations that are mid-modernisation, post-merger, or carrying a backlog of cyber, energy or AI decisions that have been deferred for too long.
